Workmen’s Compensation Insurance

State-owned enterprises, Cooperatives, and the private sector are responsible for compensating their employees for work-related bodily injury, disability, and death during employment under the Workmen’s Compensation Act.

Workmen Compensation Insurance is taken out with a view to compensating the employees for their death or bodily injury.

Coverage –

  • Death
  • Permanent total disablement
  • Permanent partial disablement
  • Temporary disablement

Premium is charged at the rate of 2% on the annual salary of the employee.
