Seamen Life Insurance

Insurable age 18 to 60
Premium rate 30,000 kyats for 1 year (for 1 unit)
Maximum Sum Insured 5,000,000 kyats (for 1 unit)
Purchasable unit 1 unit to 4 units

The proposer needs to submit passport number, copy of CDC and copy of medical check-up results.

Note: Although the insured’s age is over 60 and he/she is in good health, 5000 kyats will be added and total premium will be 35,000 kyats for 1 unit.

 

Benefits

The benefits for this policy are mentioned below.

  • The benefit for death and total permanent disability during policy period
  • The insured can designate the beneficiary on proposal according to their desire.
  • The beneficiary can get the death benefit after 1 year of waiting period when the insured die and the dead body cannot be got during a year.

 

Exclusions

If the insured died because of suicide, committing criminals, using drugs and running away from the ship, the benefit will not be given.
